My roomate and I moved out of our parents' houses for the first time and got a two bedroom at Prairie Lakes last year. I will have to agree with the two-faced-ness of the staff- we dealt with a few different people who were very nice and helpful but seemed to suddenly hate us as soon as our checks had cleared. The parking was dismal, coming home late I could rarely park close to my apartment building. Our neighbors were HORRIBLE. Since my friend and I were new to the whole apartment gig, we thought it was normal to have rude, loud, obnoxious neighbors, but found out later that it is actually very unacceptable. Our neigbors threw loud parties, blared music ALL DAY LONG and would rudley hit the walls if they thought WE were being loud, like running the dishwasher or the washing machine. All day we would hear the couple below us fighting, while their brats screamed and fought on the balcony. Since our apartment was brand new, it was pretty satisfactory. We are both clean freaks, and kept the place as nice as possible. Overall, it was a measly place to actually LIVE, though it looked okay and the apartment was nice, but I don't think I'd move back, mostly due to the horrible people and their lack of respect for anyone else. uWDgQKY3Vkv8FKIsB8Ax

I agree completely. Are you sure you weren't living near the people that I live near?

The apartments closest to the big lake in the back and 67th street are the worse ones from what I see. They are occupied by kids who sleep all day and party all night. As far as the parking goes, you should have gotten a garage, that solved my problem. And there is a lot of storage space available in there.
