I can't believe all the negative comments on this site! The Tuckaway apartments were by far the best place I have ever lived. I almost didn't take a job transfer because I loved living there so much.

They were very quiet. The 1 bedroom floor plan is wonderful, with an open kitchen/living room/dining room that makes you feel like you aren't really in an apartment. The bedroom is very big, almost too big. The person who complained about the AC unit waking them up...I'm a very light sleeper and it was never a problem.

I never heard my neighbors except for an occasional noise. The apartment was well insulated, so I had lower utility bills even though I had a bigger apartment.

As for crime...I didn't notice one thing out of the ordinary. The gate was rarely broken, maybe 2 days a month at the worst. I felt safer at Tuckaway than at any other apartment.

The management is typical for apartments. If you expect concierge service, you shouldn't be living in an apartment. Every time I called them about any type of problem, they were professional and took care of it right away. Maintenance was also exceptional.

And finally, for all those who say you can get a better apartment for cheaper...not in Johnson county. I don't know where on earth they were looking, but $750 for 1100 sq ft is beyond a deal. It's a steal.

I would live there again in a second!
