Of course, we lived in much crappier apartments before we moved here, so I don't have much to compare it to. The only real problems I have noticed are that the windows and doors aren't airtight, and when anything barely scrapes against the wall the paint comes off. But they did every upgrade for us possible - new rainfall shower head, ceiling fans in both bedrooms, accent wall, over hanging microwave, new carpet, new kitchen tiles...I thoroughly enjoy our apartment. We've seen a few bugs (not many spiders, a few flying bugs who come in when we open the door), but we haven't had any big problems. Parking could potentially become a problem, but for now it's fine, and we have wonderful, thoughtful neighbors. I would (and have) recommend this apartment. I'll have to add pictures another time - don't have any right now!
