I'm having the same move out problems as the previous reviewer. They want to charge me $800 to replace all of the carpet in the apartment. The worst part is that I did not create the stains they are complaining about. According to my friend who took a look, they are so faint that they had to point the stain out to him. The carpet is 5 years old, definitely time for new carpet, but they are charging me the cost for brand new carpet. It sounds like this may be an issue for renters moving out in the near term. The apt. complex is 5 years old and it's definitely time for them to replace. However, they contend carpet should last 7-10 years, so you're screwed whether you missed a stain when you moved in or created it yourself.

I have heard so many bad things from so many different sources that the manager tries to get everyone that moves out for as much as she can. My concern for you is that I would challenge this because carpet has a 5 year life span. I would have them present you with a statement of when this carpet was replaced in your specific apartment. They must prorate the difference of carpet life left and cannot charge you for the full amount! I am so tired of hearing terrible things about this place, when I move out I will have all the documentation I need!
