Good and bad....

There are both good and bad aspects of living at LaCrosse. First of all, it was a very safe community and I enjoyed the amenities such as the 24 hour fitness center and the business center. In my opinion, though, the one bedroom (600-700 sqft) is extremely overpriced for the size. Also, some of the rules of the community were quite ridiculous...I actually saw staff members in the parking lot at night with flashlights checking everybody's license plates and threatening to tow! Plus, I even got stuck inside the complex a few times because the gates never worked right.
The pool area is loud at night during the summer, which gets annoying after awhile. Staff members and many neighbors are NOSY...so if you like privacy, this isn't the place for you!
The icing on the cake was that they had the nerve to give me a negative reference when I applied to a new apartment! I paid over $700 per month for over a year, I was NEVER late on rent, and I left the apartment spotless! Quite ridiculous..there are several apartments in that same area that I would gladly choose over Lacrosse.

Wow, how people can Lie- I can't believe this. the gates have only been down once that I can think of and you don't get stuck inside (they automatically go open) due to safety- i can't believe the slander on this website

I live there and I dont see any problems. The last response is right...you don't get locked inside the complex you dumb dumb. Yeah it may be over priced for the sq. footage...this is true. But if you are gonna ----- about it... then go start some equity in a home. Here is the bottom line dumb dumb ...as long as you rent, it will always be a loosing situation b/c there is no return. It is very simple. SO! if you are still renting at another complex...shut up, be content, and go by a home and stop talking like you know everything. Gez!...relax. Its a complex with other people ...nobody's perfect ....which you apparently make obvious with your blog.

Hmm..now I'm dumb because I paid that much for an apartment I thought would be safe and better than in surrounding areas? And YES I absolutely DID get stuck in the complex several times because the gates were not working. They did not open automatically for safety..hence the statement "they were not working"...duh. Not quite sure why I would lie about that. I guess maybe the manager is getting online and posting responses to reviews. I have a friend that still rents here, and the pool area is still very loud with people drinking late at night. It's funny how the management is so nosy to people who rent there and dont cause any problems, yet they never seem to care about the party animals that wander around all night and use the facilities!
