average-ish, but kiss your deposit goodbye

All in all, it's not a bad place to live between the irritation of moving in with them not getting apartments ready and the nightmare of moving out where you get slapped with charges out the wahzoo. The apartments are nice looking, given the age. It's a 1970s building with relatively spotty insulation (some rooms such as the computer nook are always cold no matter what). There is exactly one cable outlet which is really inconvenient. Plugs and phone outlets are not exactly in convenient locations (the phone jacks are eye-level eyesores on the wall). The carpet is cheaply tacked down and incredibly easy to pull up. We had a small mouse problem during the winter. Also, if you have pets, they are going to take your pet deposit, security deposit and will charge you for carpet because they claim they found urine stains all over the carpet and have to 'seal the floor' and replace the carpet. So that's a bit of a pain. In their defense, they do answer complaints about maintenance in a relatively timely manner and they do try to plan community activities. The apartments are clean and no evidence of bugs or mold. There are a few places where the baseboard is pulling from the wall in the bathroom, but that's to be expected. The bathrooms have pull and stick laminates for flooring that is ugly, but not pulling off the floor. The windows actually work and the grounds do have some lovely trees. The staff for the most part appear friendly. Not bad of a place, but I don't know about my ability to recommend this place for anyone with pets.
