Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2007

After living here many years I have decided I must be crazy to pay more than $600 a month for an apartment that is sinking...that's right...the bathroom and closet is slanted. They actually had to put blocks under one side of the toilet to keep it level. The entire apartment is very outdated. The electricity is high because of how thin the walls are. You can feel outside air coming in through outlets. You can hear everything that happens in surrounding apartments and even from the drunk people outside. No use complaining because the manager is among the drunk. She is never in the office and when she is one of the many guy residents she is seeing is in there so you are ignored. Oh, parking is horrible. There is not enough parking spaces for every apartment...the manager told me that when she told me to deal with it. Worst place ever! I am moving as I type.

Up until recently, I lived at Marina Point Apartments and moved because I purchased a home. It was a difficult decision for me to leave Marina Point because I had felt at "home" there, enjoying the great neighbors and sense of community, as well as a customer service oriented management and maintenance team. My hope was that my new home and neighborhood would have some of those same qualities. If anyone is looking for an apartment, I always recommend Marina Point. My rent there was a bargain for what I received in return and my utilities were reasonable. If one wants to pay the big bucks for a new, airtight, "modern" residence...then, of course, they should move.
In response to the comments posted here, it sounds like sour grapes to me. First of all, the resident has lived there for SIX YEARS!!! If that doesn't reflect one's opinion about a place, I don't know what does! The manager was always friendly and professional yet firm when need be. She's not a magician but worked on issues and problems, resolving them to the best of her ability. I have never seen nor heard her drunk and if any men were in the office they were usually associated with Builders, Inc. in some way and there on a professional basis. The manager was always available or quick to return a call or visit. And yes, parking was sometimes at a premium but I felt like I was doing myself a favor by adding the extra walking to my exercise routine and always felt safe.
In closing, if you don't like whre you live, then go ahead and find another place but good luck finding the perfect pie-in-the-sky residence. You're in for a big eye-opening experience! And in the future, should you choose to critique where you live, etc. and put it in print, be big enough to sign your name, keep it professional and avoid the personal attacks. It only makes you look small when you share commments the way you have here. Poeple who know Marina Point and know the staff, know the real story.

I live at Marina Point, and everyone knows who this guy is. He is a wacko! Hes mad at the world....not just his apartment complex. I'm not surprised he didn't sign his name.
