Do not move here

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
When I first moved here, I thought it wasn't too bad - decent price, decent apartment. But I was so wrong. My stove didn't have the drip pans in when I moved in, and the sink was leaking around the facet. Six months later that was still the case, so I bought my own drip pans and cut them to fit. I even made an appointment to fix the sink, rather than letting them come whenever (as obviously that wasn't getting it done after 6 months) and maintenance failed to arrive. I've been here 8 months now and the next 4 months can't go by fast enough - I want out. When I moved in I was told I needed to make a copy of the key so maintenance could come fix the stove and sink. I did. Though the repairs were never made, I was greeted in the middle of sleep by "pest control" which is one shady looking person with a coffee can full of keys. One knock, and then the door was opened - I wasn't even fully dressed, since I was sleeping. If you are lucky enough that the management doesn't have a copy of your key, KEEP IT THAT WAY! Then in December they fired their only decent security guard, and since then it's just been lazy idiots, if you're lucky - often there's no security guard to be found. Even then, they don't take care of issues. MY neighbor was blasting techno at 4am and I called security, and he said he'd be right over. Two hours later I was still listening to techno blasting from the neighbor's apartment. There are constantly alcohol containers all over the place, and yelling and screaming from my neighbors. In January I was walking my dog (in one of the designated pet areas, on leash, and cleaning up after him, no less, which nobody else seems to do) when a security approached me and told me pitbulls are not allowed. Well that's fine (sad, but I can't change their rules) but my dog is in no way, shape, or form a pitbull. He's a boxer and I have the DNA test to prove it. If they want their security guards to enforce that rule, they need to educate them on what a pitbull really is. The change machine in the laundry room never works. When I moved in, I paid for a full 6 month lease up front. Four months later, I'm getting eviction notices for nonpayment. I go to the office to clear it up - I figure mistakes happen. They assure me that they will fix their error. Two days later I get a phone call that I haven't paid my rent. I tell them I paid 6 months in full, and they ask if I paid a half month. Then they say they sent their records to "corporate" and so they wouldn't even know. Then why the hell am I getting an eviction notice if they don't even know if I paid or not' You would think paying 6 months ahead, they'd be happy and let me be. But no, all it causes is more stress and harassment.
