I've lived at woodgate since sept. of 2006... I usually don't blog BUT.... Reading the review below; I feel compelled to.
I am too a female and looks can be deceiving. The maintaince guys that work here are anything but scary! Like I said Im a female and I'm not exactly mechanically inclined! All the guys that I have met (and I've met all of them) have always been So patient (and I do mean patient) and respectful of me and my space. Perhaps they watch the female (who blogged below) walk to her car Since it Sorta IS THEIR JOB to keep an eye out make sure the parking lots are safe! especially for young females...! I personally feel better knowing that some employees live here and that they care about the residents and our safety. Maybe that chick below is paranoid or maybe just conceited, since she feels that shes just eye candy for people just doing their job.
You do get what you pay for... I pay for an apartment I love and live in By Myself! And That I'm not afraid to walk around at! I would feel alittle FREAKED out If THEY DIDNT KEEP AN EYE ON THE RESIDENTS WALKING ALONE TO THEIR CARS!
I think its just too bad that the female below is projecting her fears onto Professional People who are just doing their job TO KEEP HER SAFE!

I've never been bothered by my neighbors at night. Most residents around where I live are respectful and courteous.
I would recommend this place. Its close to school. Its way close to bradley fair! I really like it!

no kidding, i wonder if you are the owner or someone paid to promote woodgate since it has such a horrible reputation which it rightly deserves. It has had multiple killings, and car break ins. And I am a 20 year old female who has had training in self defense and i still feel uneasy being outside of that place at night. I hear yelling and screaming above me and i called the cops once because the yelling became so violent i feared for the lady. Even with all this going on the management feels they are justified in increasing their rent because the run such a nice place which is a load of balogny. My boyfriend has to accompany me at night if i so my laundry because he fears for my safety. Are you aware that a lady was found murdered in one of the laundry rooms? Stuffed into the washer? I would not recomend this place to my worst enemy. Very unsafe and unkept.
