I was worried about moving to a complex, especially coming from a much smaller apartment building that I dreaded coming home to because I was never sure If I would be woken by neighbor's barking dogs or arguments and I was generally not able to enjoy my home because of inconsiderate neighbors. Glen Hollow is a polar opposite of what I previously experienced. Management is very helpful, the complex is kept clean (and I want to add that I think it is the responsibility of all tenants to take pride in their community and if you see garbage on the ground it doesn't hurt to pick it up). The people who rent here seem to be decent, considerate people, for the most part, and you occasionally hear a noise but nothing so invasive or often that you aren't able to enjoy your home. I do want to add that although the sound proofing of the apartments could use some work I think the type of people who rent here are generally considerate people so you don't hear them the way you would some people who do not take into consideration that they are not the only ones living in the building. I have heard an occasional dog bark but nothing incessant and usually just a bark or two and it stops. The management has a strict policy about any noises that disturb your neighbors, including loud tv's or stereos and no partying. There are alot of 2 and 3 family apartments here and therefore alot of families but you don't hear or see unsupervised children and there has been no problems with theft or vandalism. I have not lived here too long but so far I am very happy about my move.
