Trying to steal my money.

I liked Greenhaven for awhile. As the other reports have said the maintenance was prompt. That was mostly because when my roommate and I first moved in all our appliances were ancient. Starting with the refrigerator, a sheet of ice would freeze to the top of the freezer and leak out. Also the stoves are gas so you have to learn how to relight the pilot light because they will go out and the maintenance people will not be around to fix them. The hot water heater was so old that it made a knocking noise all the time like someone trying to break down the door. We also had a problem when the air-conditioning the apartment above us starting leaking and leaked into our living room. Also our front window was never fixed so it was easy to break in.
Most of my trouble started after I moved out. My roommate made sure that we completely cleaned our apartment. We left the place without any holes in the walls or stains on the carpet. In all truth we left the place cleaner than when we moved in. When we finally received our deposit THEY TRIED TO CHARGE US! Here are the following deductions.
Paint apt (full @75% of $205.00) $153.75
Matchals (3.5 gal@75% of $15.66 each) $41.12
Clean Apt $65.00
Carpet Shampooing $70.00
Fitness Center pass not returned $45.00
Replace 4 missing light bulbs (@28cents each) $1.12
Total Deductions $374.87

I left my fitness center pass in the fitness center one night after working out. The next day I called to see if anyone had found it. Emily said that they had found it and that I could come and get it. Well, I never went and got it. They still had it in the office and they are trying to make me pay for it.

All this taken off of our security deposit (which they say we only paid $265 but we actually paid $300) so that we owed them $109.87.

All I can say is that if you want to live there don't expect to get your deposit back. You will also have crap appliances. And when you leave make sure you take pictures of your apartment.

Same thing has happend to me. I left that apartment cleaner than it was whenever i moved in. There were 2 scuffs on the wall from where i had chairs and thats it and i just got my statement today saying that I have to pay for them to repaint walls and trim for 100.00 and that they are charging me 55.00 to clean when i spent 2 whole days cleaning. They are very horrible people to work with and Emily in the office is a dumb ----- that seems to purposely try to screw you out of money. When i first moved, midway through the month, i paid a full months rent and was told that i would have a full year and stay until may 10th (which is wheni moved in) the next year and mid april they tell me i have 2 weeks to beout and that they offered me a prorated rent and they didnt. So i paid an extra 120 bucks for nothing. and theres nothing she can do about it? seems to me like they are making fake invoices and pocketing that money that they screw out of people. RUN FROM THIS PLACE!!!! THEY ARE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PEOPLE AND HAVE HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT!
