Greenhaven Apartments are the worst choice renters can make in Bowling Green. I moved here from another state, so I had to choose my new place by searching online (huge mistake on my part), and Greenhaven's website was very attractive, enticing...and misleading. When I pulled into the complex for the first time after a seven-hour drive, I immediately regretted my decision. I saw a drug deal take place in the parking lot. I'm not even kidding. Then, when I parked and walked up to my unit, I looked out the window and saw the very same drug dealer staring into the windows of my packed car. Not a good first impression, at all. My place was filthy. There was cat food and hair all over the floor, like it wasn't even vacuumed before the last tenants moved out. After a year, I found out why. I spent more than $100 dollars cleaning my place. It was much nicer than when I moved in. I got 20 bucks back on my $500 security deposit. Deplorable. The tenants are poor, noisy, and disrespectful. My neighbors had gang members over all the time. Drug addicts used to knock on MY door looking for the neighbors. I slept in the living room with a gun instead of my bedroom, for fear of someone trying to break in. You feel unsafe at night. Every night. Check with the Bowling Green Police, or do a public records report. There was a meth lab broken up in one of the units. And it's not just Greenhaven. The whole neighborhood is filthy, poor and dangerous. Police are called to Rockcreek Drive ON A DAILY BASIS. It is all Section 8 housing. The management BEGGED me to stay when I said I was moving. I had a 12-month lease and couldn't afford to break it, but I already had a new apartment and lease lined up two months into my stint at Greenhaven. This was my first "real" place after graduating college, and Greenhaven made it one of the worst experiences of my life. I still live in BG and love my new place close to campus. Trust me. Please. If you are a normal, decent member of society...STAY AWAY FROM GREENHAVEN! The staff sucks, the residents are criminals - literally - and the entire area is a dirty ghetto. It is to BG, what Compton is to Los Angeles. The ONE nice thing about Greenhaven was the maintenance staff. These guys were great and very polite. Just do yourself a favor and do some research. Like my title says, this is the worst place. Ever.

You are so right about Greenhaven. My daughter had the worse experience there & they had bugs, refused to do anything about it. The management are lazy, don't care about the apartments as long as the money is coming in.

My husband and son moved in to Greenhaven in April 2009 and we had a bug problem as well and the neighbors are VERY Noisey even as far as fighting in the parking lot. The staff didn't do anything about the bugs they didn't give rid of them and they expected us to pay it. The windows leak and management said these windows leak all the time when it rains. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GREENHAVEN TO ANYONE!!!
