My boyfriend and I lived at Greenhaven for 1 year and while we never had a problem with the staff while we were there, we only got $40 back from our $250 deposit. They said they had to clean and paint. The only room that needed painting was the bathroom. I spent every afternoon for a week after class cleaning this place and let me tell you it was spotless. Even the guy who came to clean the carpets said if we didn't get back our deposit we were being screwed. On top of that we had to put down a $500 pet deposit that was nonrefundable, so my question is why they couldn't have used that instead of our other deposit'

When we first signed our lease we signed up for a bottom apartment. The day before we moved in they called to say that one was no longer available and that we would have to take a top floor place.

The maintenance staff were all really nice when we lived there, and they keep the grounds looking wonderful.

Parking is a a pain. I work 2nd shift so I don't get home until around 10:30 or 11 pm, so everyone else was already home and taking up the parking spaces. More than once I had to park in front of another building.

For what you pay you don't get much space. The kitchen is tiny with only about 3 feet of counter space if that. No dishwasher. There is a gas stove if you like that. I didn't. The bathroom is also tiny, but it was workable for us. We like our newer, much bigger one that we have now much better.

Neighbors are very noisy. I took our dog out one afternoon and got to listen to this guy pounding on one of my neighbors' door yelling to let him in and that he had his money. When the guy didn't let him in he just got louder and used worse language. At 3am during the summer (during the week) people are partying in the parking lot. Lots of screaming, laughing, and music blaring.

Though I'm sure it isn't the worst place you could live, there are much better places out there. Find one of them.
