Ok, so I had the bright idea of moving in when they were first built. Let me also point out that I had a full scholarship that paid for housing and I chose to move off campus. What the heck was I thinking'They first advertised personal panic alarms for each bedroom, but when I moved in, I didn't see anything.
First off - the noise. During my college days, I was a partier too, but on Tuesday night at 4 a.m.'''' Went to management several times after nicely asking a neighbor to keep it down while I was sleeping-everything else was fair game and I would never ever bother him and if I ever bothered him to just come and tell me (my pictures would bounce off of my shelves from his subwoofer...I am not kidding). Management did nothing but told us to call the police every single time and they would receive the "incident report" and go from there. My roommate and I were then physically and verbally threatened by the guy. Hello'' Management still did nothing. I mention my sister is an attorney' They sent him a letter stating "play nice- signed your caring management staff."
Second on my hit list - the grounds. Someone broke a set of dishes on our stairs one winter and no one EVER cleaned them up. Ever. I visited a friend a year after I graduated and I still saw shards of the dishes everywhere!
Third - Thanks for no referral bonus. When you're in college, $100 is groceries for 3-4 months. My friend moved in on January 1, I referred her and she moved into my apartment, becoming our fourth roommate. I was told SEVERAL times the paperwork was completed and it would arrive in the mail soon. I never ever received anything. Why lie...over and over again' Just say, "Sorry, that promotion is over," or "Someone dropped the ball, we're sorry." Moved out in August...never ever received the bonus and only half of my deposit back, (which was never explained during the move in procedure).
So, nearly three years later, you can tell my impression of them is still very very sour. When I look back, the dorms weren't that bad, even with the strange roommates. I suggest putting up with the dorms or finding another place. This place is not worth the stress. You can get HBO anywhere!
