I lived at Burl Park for 13 months and paid almost 500 dollars monthly for a "studio" apartment which was a kitchen/living/dining room, small bathroom and medium-size bedroom. The tenants below me were LOUD and management didn't do anything despite my complaints to the office. The dishwasher was constantly leaking and was never repaired. It took them 3 months to replace the mirror in my bathroom. The parking lot behind the apartment building is atrocious and was never repaired thru my tenancy; potholes were TERRIBLE. There were no locks on the building doors; anyone can walk in to the building from off the street. The lock on my door was constantly malfunctioning and I was locked out on 2 occasions because my lock wouldn't turn. They replaced it eventually but it still did not fix the problem. Their mgmt. staff is irresponsible and EXTREMELY unorganized. I moved out February 1st of '04 and they are currently trying to cheat me out of giving my security deposit back despite the fact I gave 30 days notice (and having a copy of the notice), AND also provided my return address. I will be taking them to court shortly if the situation is not resolved by their parent management company, Heritage Management Co. in Cincinnati. Burl Park has been taken to civil court in Boone county several times before this by former tenants and to my knowledge they have lost all of those cases.


I STRONGLY suggest looking elsewhere if this is a place you are considering. THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY YOU WILL WASTE.
