Our family has been living at Sky Harbor for over 6 months & find it quite adequate. During the summer, the pool, grounds, etc were very well maintained. The ladies in the office are superb, very helpful! We've only needed the services of maintenance once, and they were very quick to respond. The grounds were maintained very well by a well-qualified grounds team. The only thing about the grounds is they seemed to cut back services too quickly in the fall. (some grass areas grew up quickly & needed cut) After the hurricane came through, the trees were quickly removed, but it took some time for building repairs. They were eventually done - quickly and very well. (insurance issues, I'm assuming) It's a great place if you have pets, they provide stations for clean up, although not all residents are consistent with using them. (Notices are sent out to remind everyone to clean up) Children are welcome, but there is not a lot for them to do once the pool is closed and the swings are put "away for the season" (I didn't know there was a season for playing, LOL!) It's difficult to find a place for children to play like normal children (ride bikes, play ball, etc) since they are not allowed in the parking lots and some residents tend to pull their vehicles up onto the sidewalk. Apartments seem to be built well, but you can notice some flaws like unlevel cabinets, doors, etc if you search for them. The only issue for us is no lighting in the bedrooms or living room. There is lighting in the parking lots, but some areas are better lit than others. Snow removal seems to be an issue; the staff was overwhelmed with the snow in late January 2009. The parking lots were cleared somewhat, but the sidewalks were still covered in up to 2 inches of ice in early February. In general, Sky Harbor is a wonderful place to live, the neighbors are friendly, and we would recommend the apartments!
