ok apartments, questionable service

i have lived here around 2 years now. the apartments are ok, average construction. i've seen better, but i have also seen worse. the worst thing is probably all the garbage and debris that the construction people left in the heating and cooling ducts. still, after 2 years, i have dirt and bits of wood and whatnot blowing out of my vents.

typical other problems include doors not closing right b/c they are crooked, cheap paint, etc. typical of rental properties.

other than that the apartments are fine. decent layouts, pretty spacious, etc.

the biggest complaint i have is about the staff and the grounds here. they take very good care to make sure the lawn and landscaping around their office is top notch, but the actual apartment buildings are a whole other story. there is no grass around my building. they apparently seeded teh ground and put straw down. well its all hills here and the first rain washed it away and its gotten progressivly worse over the years. i've asked them if they plan on fixing it and they said yes. that was a year and half ago. no fix yet, and i now enjoy a mudslide out my window every time it rains.

this winter we have had a decent amount of snow. they have a 3rd party to takes care of the roads and parking spots. they do an ok job on the roads, but as far as teh parking areas they end up making it worse. they plow all the snow onto the sidewalks so you can't get to the building without climbing over a 4 ft pile of snow. and the staff here does NOTHING to clean it up. this is a big place and all they have is this dinky snow blower that probably cost them 50bux. not only is this annoying, but dangerous. i've nearly fallen many mornings and have twisted my back a few times. then they have the nerve to post a flier on the apartment buildings telling us to be careful b/c of the snow. it wouldn't be nearly as dangerous if the staff would DO THEIR JOB. instead they sit in their building and do nothing.

if this place had a staff that did their job it would be 100 times better, but instead the place is falling apart. and on top of that they have the nerve to raise the rent every year, and yet the service gets worse and worse every year.

i've taken my complaints to the staff and they go unanswered. that explains why so many apartments are empty here and people are moving out all the time.
