Good 1st Year, Bad 2nd Year.

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007

OVERALL: Although the price has gone up from $600 to $625 for a 2B/1BA, the pet policy is outlandish, and parking is a nightmare.. its probably still one of the better apartment complexes as far the square footage and price are concerned.

POSITIVES: My first year here was pretty good. Maintenance responded quickly. Former downstairs neighbors were often loud/partying at 4am on the weekdays, and I could hear them making certain "noises," if you will, but they were cordial anytime I asked that they be quieter. Well kept grounds, not dirty. Aside from that and the drafty windows in the master bedroom, the first year went without incident.

NEGATIVES:

- After we got a pyscho old neighbor downstairs, though, parking has been horrendous. New neighbor owns two cars and always leaves one parked in the closest spot/handicap spot just to leave it sitting there all week (despite the fact that a handicap person lived here.. who later moved because of the psycho). This is against the parking policy, but it is unenforced aside from general "policy reminders" being sent to everyone. Psycho basically admitted to us that she does it because the handicap woman had the nerve to ask Psycho to not park in the handicap space ('''!). Ever since then, she's been beating on the ceiling anytime she hears the slightest thing such as my dog's footsteps, walking in the kitchen wearing heels, etc just to be a jerk.

- Management does not enforce their parking rules. So if you move here, don't expect to be able to park in front of your own building.

- Maintenance does NOT snow plow OR salt the streets or sidewalks when it snows. So if you drive a sports car, you might want to take this into consideration when picking how deep into the complex you want to reside if you choose to move here. One guy got stuck and just parked his car where he could and walked the rest of the way to his apartment.

- The pet policy (dog policy) is outright ridiculous in comparison to other apartment complexes. Usually, apartments have a breed/weight restriction and a flat fee/deposit. Here, not only do they have a weight restriction (40lbs), there is a height restriction (18in), an age restriction (1 year or older), a deposit ($300) AND a $25 monthly fee!! Needless to say, compared to other apartments in this area, this is NOT the most pet-friendly complex. Be prepared to spend upwards of $600 in first year pet fees alone--and that's for just ONE pet. It's more for two.

I am leaving after my lease is up. Aside from a basket case neighbor, the price of these apts simply doesn't match up with the quality of life and the lack of amenities here. I've not figured out why it's so expensive, other than the fact that the apts aren't old. Also not a fan of living within walking distance of a "pay weekly" inn that popped up over the summer...
