I am FINALLY a former tennent of that hell hole. When we first moved in, it was no where near as bad and was actually quite liveable. However as leases were up, new people moved in and a whole new crowd took over. For some insane reason, management decided it would be beneficial to accept HUD, which is wonderful for people who really need it, but the ones who ended up moving were definately not deserving. The last six months living there was PURE HELL. Maintenance was terrible, and that is an understatement (it took them at least 15 phones calls and two months before they would even knock on your door to ask what was wrong). The cable can only be hooked up in the living room (not in the bedrooms and if you ask the cable man to install new jacks he will refuse because the building set up makes it against their regulations. And the parking. Oh my Lord the parking. If you have a car, you better leave it in your spot and walk because you'll never get your spot back if you move it. Towards the end, more and more drug dealers and users moved in. In my particular situation, my outside decorations were vandalized due to a domestic dispute and my lovely neighbors stayed up until 3 or 4am every night until the cops got called because they felt it necessary to wake the entire neighborhood with their arguing... wait, correction, their beating the hell out of each other. Oh, and the icing on the cake is that I just turned on the news and saw a mugshot of a person who lived a building or two away from mine who has been accused of purchasing syringes, shooting up in her vehicle and then running over a cop, who is now in critical condition. According to wcpo.com, her bail was set at 2 million bucks! What a neighbor! I must say that moving out of Normandy Green was the best thing I have ever done. I understand that everyone has bad experiences and forms opinions, but this is just ridiculous. If you don't believe me, drop at 2am and I will bet you will find a cop car flashing somewhere on the property. For over 600 bucks a month, this place is a scam and a waste of time, money and energy.
