I relocated to KY recently due to a job transfer. My wife and I shopped around the Florence area and found that the Trails were one of the nicer places for a decent price. Some of the other comparable apartments were extremely high priced and anything cheaper looked like a dump (and smelled like one). The management company at Trails just took over the complex and so far they have been doing a lot of work to clean up. They started with replacing all the landscaping and redoing the clubhouse so that the residents can be proud of where they are living. The pool was closed for the season when we moved in so I cannot comment on the conditions. The leasing staff was extremely helpful with assisting us during our transfer and so far the apartment is working out great. That should be tough to say when you go from an 1100 sq ft house with a finished basement, but with the way we have been treated so far, it has been easy. As far as noise goes, we are on the ground floor and other then the occasional footsteps or water pipe noise, I can not hear anything. I have had one repair performed and the maintenance staff was very quick and efficient. One very big bonus that this complex has over others is that they will allow you to paint your apartment and if you need to move into a larger one there is no fee. Try asking other places about that and you will shocked at the cost to transfer from one apartment to another in the same complex. Another thing is that the leasing agents seem to take a lot of pride in how this place looks. The first rule they implemented is that people had to remove vehicles there were missing parts and had large visible rust spots. That meant a lot to me because it instantly helps the look and feel of living here. Sure, it ticked some residents off (which may be why there are some poor reviews) but at least it showed that they are willing to make a rule and stick with it. So far so good and I would recommend the Trails.
