This place has many problems. Lets start with the police have been to my building 15 times since Oct 2006. Mostly domestic violence. They have ants, leaky toilets, dirty dishwashers that don't work, amenities that don't work, constant drunken parties with real live puking on the balcony and sleeping there until you sober up. Damages all over the place some which could get you or your children hurt. Also this is supposed to be a secure building when half the time the exterior doors do not lock. They do not fix problems when they arise. Do not believe that they will. The more you complain the more they go after you. SO beware before renting here. You pay too much to have these problems. If you do rent here their answer to you will be what they told me "it is an old complex what did you expect'" Of course you won't know this until you move in with the agreement that they will fix these things and they won't.

This lake is not the property of The Vineyard Apartments. It is the responsibility of the apartment complex next door.

My husband and I have lived here since August of 2007. To be honest it was not our first choice when we decided to move, but we are coming up on a year now, and all I can say is that this is the happiest we have been in many years. we sold our home since our children had all moved out and started their own lives, and we have never regretted the choice we made. The office and maintenance people are friendly, and always willing to work with you to make things right. Within the past year there have been a lot of upgrades and changes which have made the complex very nice. I have never once seen a bug or any kind of vermin ever.. many people have said on the reviews that the commodes are dirty, but it is only because of the hard water conditions that leave mineral deposits. It is not mold. The maintenance staff is always cleaning up the parking lots and grounds. As for the lake many people complain about that is the property of the plantation apartments next door. The lake that sits on the vineyards property does not have that problem.I have never felt unsafe here even when I walk my dog late at night. I am fortunate that my neighbors are decent good people, and if there is riff raff here i have been fortunate enough to not have seen them. Yes this an older complex, but overall the pros to living here far outweigh the cons....
