This is a fair value apartment in a good area to live. The apartment community is reasonably quiet. The folks at the management office are friendly. Be careful on the signin deals of several hundred dollars off--if you're late on a single rent payment by one day (as I was--ONE day), you not only get charged the late rent fee, but lose your several hundred dollar rent sign-on discount. The area does feel woodsy--the only downside to this is that you do sometimes get bugs--that goes along with the area, and with leaving your patio door open. Pretty much everything is within driving distance: lots of shopping and restaurants, I-71/75, a gym (I like the Ideal Fitness by Walmart), the public library (one existing one nearby, one large one being built very nearby for Burlington). I come from New York, so I wasn't expecting to find much in Kentucky, but this is all right. So far I've found good Indian food, Korean food, BBQ, and Mexican...more exploring will be done. Also, it's very driveable to Cincinnati, where I work, so I appreciate that. People are friendly. Even though I am a minority and the area is predominately Caucasian, people have been very kind to me and I haven't had any racist comments, etc. The only things I would do differently to the community: it would be convenient to have a fitness center on-site, but if it raised my rent, I would personally rather go to the gym, since it is on my way home from work anyway. Also, while garage parking is available, it costs extra and it is not near all the apartments. There are plenty of parking spots however right next to my apartment (no long walks). I also agree with the other comments that the lighting could be better. However, I generally feel safe and haven't seen any ruffians around!
