First of all, I want to say I was shocked but not surprised to find all the negative comments on this website regarding the office team. In fact, I thought my wife and I were the only two people who felt so negatively about the staff. But apparenlty, the horrible management hasn't gone unnoticed.
The number one problem, in my opinion, is because the two women who work at the office are absolutely the most unprofessional individuals I have ever dealt with.
FOR ANY PROSPECTIVE RESIDENT... Do not, under any circumstance, consider moving here. The office staff will be nice to you until the day you move in. At that point, everything changes. There are far too many other nice apartment homes in the surronding areas to consider.
My wife and I have lived at the Trellises for almost 2 years. We cannot WAIT until our lease is up. When ----- was the manager, things were COMPLETELY different. I would honestly say, that 2 years ago, Trellises was the nicest apartment complex in Northern Kentucky. Although parking has always been an issue, almost everything else was acceptable or better. The hallways were always well kept. The stairways were not rusty and falling apart. The pool was always clean and the hot tub usually worked. If there was ever a problem, ----- would handle things immediately to get the issue resolved. The staff was professional and pleasant.
Let me describe, through my eyes, what has happened since Shannon became the manager and note the changes I have seen.
The maintenace team is a joke. If you ever need to use the grill on a weekend (and that's even if it's working), you can forget about it. Why' Because the mantinence man will be using it. Meanwhile, he will be sitting in front of the grill occupying all the available seating with at least 15-20 family members. (And I mean 3-8 hours at a time). The grass is brown and muddy, the hallways are filthy dirty, the hot tub never works, the parking has gotten worse, the place is always scattered with beer bottles. I could go on and on.
If you ever have any problem whatsoever...whether it is regarding maintenance issues, issues with rent, parking, cable, power outages, just anything...good luck. You might as well solve the problem yourself. There are many reasons for this. Most of the time, no matter how many times you call the office on any particular day, it is utterly impossible to get anyone to answer the phone. And, usually if you are lucky and someone does decide to answer, you will never get an apology. Instead, they will have a pathetic excuse for you (usually it's blamed on being understaffed) and most of the time, the problem isn't resolved accordingly.
The staff parades around the pool acting like a bunch of college students and wearing unsuitable attire in the process. I have also noticed a certain staff member hanging out at the pool while she is supposedly working. (which explains the reason the phone is never answered). Moreover, I don't care if it is someone's day off, it is simply unprofessional for both women to be gallovanting around the pool, drinking alcoholic beverages and acting completely inappropriate. Partying, getting drunk, wearing skanky bikinis, fighting with your husband and doing so in the presence of children is unacceptable. What a way to represent your company. I think they need remember that Trellises is their place of employment and they need to continue to exude an apperance of professionalism even on their "days off".
Trellises has such great potential. It is a shame and downright sad and disturbing to see its appearance and reputation deteriorating because of horrible management and office staff. It boils down to two individuals who simply need to go.
