This is by far the most unfriendly, nit-picky community ive ever lived in.
my neighbors suck and management is terrible.
i didnt realize i was going to be moving into my ---- grandparents' apartment.
The new manager is unpersonable and unprofessional.

That's how you feel, yet you recommended the apartment? And you gave Parking five out of five marks? I am questioning whether or not you actually lived there -- parking was the worst thing about Trellises (excluding terrible management, outrageous electric bills due to horrible insulation, and all the other things).

I really think the experiences you have living here are pretty random. I've lived here 2x in different apartments (1BR 2BR) and both times I've had great neighbors (other than the one who committed suicide right next door a couple of years ago...never knew him) and I've always had good experiences with the office staff (surprisingly, since I've read so many bad posts about them). I've consistently had horrible parking issues, but the maintenance staff has been great to me. I guess if I experienced anything negative other than the parking, then the parking would bother me a lot more. As it is, I just try to ignore it. Also, before I moved out the first time a few years ago, I read a few posts about how hard it was to get your full deposit back and about how they kept your money forever. Well, I got my full deposit back and I got it back within a couple of weeks. So, that's why I say it's just a toss-up as to what you experience when you live here.

I've lived here for almost 3 years now and am always tickled by the posts on here. I've never had any issues with management and suspect that the people who have bad experiences have either caused problems, didn't read the lease before they signed it, trashed their apartments, or expect special treatment. I've heard the unhappy people at the pool and read the posts on here, and the complaints against management usually are not warranted and are more personal in nature than anything else. I've also known people who have moved out and they have typically gotten most, if not all, of their deposit back. The ones who didn't get theirs back, didn't deserve to ... I saw their apartments and they were a wreck! My electric bills have never been outrageous, but I do agree that parking is not ideal.
So, I don't really think the experience you have is random (although you don't get to pick your neighbors). Just be considerate and don't trash the apartment and you'll be fine.

I agree. This place sucks! Do they ever think that they need to actually make the maintenance guys work? Every time it snows, nothing gets shoveled or salted. And shoveling the sidewalks near the pool do NOT count. I've seen several people slip and fall on the sidewalks, and have even came close myself. Whenever something breaks on their cheap appliances, it takes several calls and over a week to get anyone out to fix them. I've never had to deal with such laziness in my life. Seems to me like they need to get organized in the office.
