Buyer beware! Take this to heart from a pervious employee and resident, you do not want to live here! I was an employee who chose to move onsite for the "discounted" rent. Needless to say I lived there for 2 months and moved out.

There was never anyone in my building ever happy about the apartment home that was sold to them. My aparment was supposed to be pianted when I moved in. Upon getting my belongings moved into the unit I got a closer look at the walls and they, in fact, had been spot painted and not fully covered in fresh paint.

My neighbors were a mess. They were arrested for swimming in the lake drunk. Aside from the wonderful landscaping and water feature this place was a haven for trash ,"ghetto" smut, and middle eastern nationalities.nOW let fill you in on the Hisapanic population there. IT IS OUT OF CONTROL! One person moves into an apartment and within a week you have 10 people coming in and out at all hours of the night. The loud Latin music in the parking lots with droves of people hanging out is unreal. I brought this problem to manangement on several occassions and they said "OK" and nothing was ever done.

If you have kids you really do not need to live here. This place it a nightmare waiting to happen for children. The drivers in the complex come speeding around corners at 40 mph and do not stop for kids or adults for that matter. I saw a kid about 10 years old nearly get ran over while I was on a call. I told the office about it and got the same "OK" responce. No one ever said anything to the person for the wreckless driving.

People there have large dogs and never clean up after them. The grounds are covered in animal dropping. The smell in the summer time is enough to make you choke!

Now let me get down to the nitty gritty of the problem! They spent a lot of money on painiting the place to make it look like a fresh, clean, crips living enviroment. Part of the selling of the community was the great pools and fitness center. Well when summer came they only open one pool out of the 2 on the grounds! The pool was closed by the board of health because it was in such disrepair! The fitness center was closed because kids got in there and tore it to shreds. It took them almost a year to get that back into operation. If you are looking for the cozy feature of a fireplace do not be fooled. They will sell you a wonderful idea about your new home with a brick fireplace. What they do not tell you is that all the fireplaces were closed by the fire department and can not be used at all. I had several residents ask me when would they be fixed and I could not give them a straight answer. Even as an employee i was kept in the dark about that issue. Now let tell you about the lighting problems. Drive through the complex at night and you will fully understand what I am about to say. IT SUCKS! Half of the street lights do not work. When you complain to the office about, it you will be told " we are getting it taken care of!" I drove through the complex not to long ago and here it is a year later and the street lights are not working still!


If you talk to the companies they do business with you will find out that they never pay the bills and contract workers stop thier seervices. Where am i going with THIS YOU Ask' Well if you are looking for a safe place to live in the winter you can forget it! They do not salt the parking areas or streets. I was talking to the guys who were contracted to do that and they told me that they had not recieved payement for the salting service so they would not salt anymore until they were paid. Needless to say "the employee's" of the complex had to shovel the walk ways by hand. I know there were a lot of falls that year. Some of them were rather seroius.

The community is dier need of new owners and management that cares. Until that happens I warn everyone looking a this ad, LAKESIDE VILLAGE IS NO PLACE TO LIVE OR WORK!

Boy do you have it right! We used to live here 10 yrs ago and the owners then had this place running nice!! Now, it's like living in the ghetto!! When we came back into KY we thought why not move back where we used to!! BAD IDEA!!! They have maintance people who don't even know how to do anything!! Extreme safety violations!! Like she said there are no lights what so ever when you get past the lake and the circle!! You can complain to the office about noise violations and nothing gets done. I've complained about this lady & her kid and dog 10 times and they still ignore me!! Complaint is legit too ( as I wrote this 2 AM) the kid is running back and forth like it's a marathon!! How is anyone suppose to sleep!! And the pets... there are suppose to be on leashes!! HA!! I can look out my back door and show you 10 people who just open there door and let their dog out and run around and do there do ANYWHERE!!! And then there's the "drive by" noise parade and the cars with those thumping radios!! 2 am and all you hear is thump thump thump!! This place need to get their act together and fast!! If I wanted to be a B**** there are SEVErAL violations they have against them and I'm sure the housing authorities would love to hear them!! And I know I'm not alone!!!

I live in the apartments now and my husband is from the Middle East. Are you saying he doesn't have the right to live here? Do you expect it to be all white rednecks?

i would love to hear of all specific violations. i am in the process of fighting with them over being evicted. I REFUSE to pay my last month's rent when this place is so horrible and we lost more than that amount in personal belongings due to a flood that could have been avoided ifthe drains hadnt been mulched over. btw, it has been brought to their attention that they have 3 convicted sex offenders living here, 2 of which involved minors under 12, the other minor(s) under 16. normally, yes they have a right to live where they please, but i do believe there is a one-thousand feet rule about daycares/schools. THAT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED

LITTLE Guatemala should be the new name for this property. Drunk --------- hang in the parking lot with that loud @ss music until all hours of the night. The police seldom come back here and when you call to make a complaint to the poice department it is a joke. They run them off, only for them to return in a different car and some group of people.
