I have been in the back area of these apts for a year. Oh what a year it has been. Our promised apartment was occupied, we leak from 3 of our 4 outer walls, and the "musty, unoccupied smell" is actually molding carpet. The foundation is slipping down the hill. Our living room wall literally bows out. Both sinks leak. We have black mold growing in our bathtub that we cannot rid ourselves of. We have had 2 majorly damaging floods and a fire which shut down our electricity for two days. We (tennants of 410-418) lost all the food in our refridgerators, got further molded carpets, a horrid smell, mounds of dirt in our front yards, a new knowledge that we had drains designed to reduce damage of floods (they were mulched over)and all we were told was we didn't have renters insurance, nothing could be done. Oh yes, and if we chose to relocate to one of the front, more pricy apartments, we would THEN be taken care of. Talk about unethical treatment of tennants.
btw, it has been brought to their attention that they have 3 convicted sex offenders living here, 2 of which involved minors under 12, the other minor(s) under 16. normally, yes they have a right to live where they please, but i do believe there is a one-thousand feet rule about daycares/schools. THAT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED.
I do have one positive note, 2 individuals of maintenace are wonderful and knowledgable about their job. Dave (david) and i believe the other is t.j. however we rarely get either of them assigned to our issues and so most things are left no more than looked at.
