I had planned on living at Haverford but that never happened thanks to the staff. We had plans to move from out of state to Georgetown and about a month prior to our visit to look for an apartment, we spoke with the staff of Haverford Place. They were very excited to talk to us and very helpful. They ashured us that on the date we scheuled, we would be shown a Two Bedroom Townhome. The day we arrived for the showing, we were amazed at how beautiful the apartments were from outside and couldnt believe that if we liked what we saw inside, this would be our apartment. Espically for the price! We were greeted by a very friendly property manager and soon after notified that there were no open for the time we had talked about. What is that all about!' We were told that we could put our name on a waiting list for $100 and once there was one open we would be first on the list. That however would not work for us because we were only there for a few days, as we had talked about in email a month earlier. We were then told that if one opened up in the next few days we would get a call. What is the point of the $100 waiting list then' It all seemed very confusing. Then the woman, who was friendly but kind of creepy, tried to push another apartment community on us. I don't even think it was the same company. It all seemed very suspicious. The apartments and yard were gorgeous and I'm sure they are inside, but the managment is not very helpful to movers out of state. aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb

They cannot offer to hold an apartment for you if you do not put down a deposit (the $100). That's how every community is. The point of it is to show you want to move in, but nothing is available at the moment. So, unless you paid the $100 when you emailed them, informing them you were interested, it's not their fault nothing was open at the time you wanted to move in.
As for the woman recommending another community for you, I'm not quite sure how that's "pushing" it on you or suspicious. She probably realized your situation (moving from out of state) and since they didn't have anything available for you she decided to inform you of another nice community in Georgetown she thought you might enjoy.
