Too expensive and noisy, but an ok place to live

I've only had a few complaints since I've lived here. The first when we were just looking at the apartment. The carpet had bleach spots and orange and black spots throughout and we were told it would be replaced before we moved in, but it was still here when moving day came.

The neighbors upstairs tend to forget people do live below them. The first residents up there, I actually thought were going to fall through our ceiling at times. Now there is a woman and two kids who scream and cry all day. Neither of these the greatest background noise when I'm trying to study. The walls are thin as well. When the people nextdoor moved in, they put their "party" rooom next to my son's room and for almost a month my son wouldn't, because he couldn't, fall asleep while they had their music or TV up so loud. When the bass was so loud and knocked a picture off his wall, I called the front office asking them to tell these people to lower their noise when night fell. They told me we had to call the police, something I really didn't see THAT important to get them involved, especially when it states in the lease to keep noise to a minimum.

When the lady above me had about twenty bags of garbage on her porch above our patio, not only was the smell disgusting, but maggots began falling on my patio and finding their way onto my sons toys and into my apartment! I made a complaint and instead of comming over here to see what was going on I was informed that they would send her a letter telling her to take her garbage out. Yes she finally took it to the dumpster, but no she nor anyone else helped me clean any of the maggots off of our stuff. Completely rude and ridiculous, I didn't cause it and I shouldn't have had to clean it up.

Our toilet has been broken for almost a week. Someone was here to look at it, but no one has returned, like we were told, to fix it.

Other than those few things, this place is a pretty good place to live. There are huge windows, open layouts, lots of space to play outside, swimming pools, a workout room, close to NKU and the best maintence crew anyone could ask for. They're always polite with a smile on their faces. They really make you feel like they care about your individual problems. I've been in other apartments before and no one could compare to these guys! The office staff are friendly, sometimes they make me feel like what I say doesn't matter or that they don't understand why I'm upset about something, but overall they're usually pretty good people.

I'd recommend this place to anyone, but the rent is expensive. Yeah they're open and have the huge window thing kicking, but having to deal with the other stuff makes this place seem just like any other place rather than the luxury name they've given themselves.
