I worked there for a *very* short period of time.

I believe Brandywine is now overseen by different people, but when I worked there I was very uncomfortable. More than a few times I stressed that potential tenants were going to be trouble, or unable to even pay their first month's rent, or both; I was told to rent to them anyway (and boy was I right--especially in one particular instance that resulted in a total disaster). There were a couple of questionable leases that the manager discreetly (for her, anyway) suggested I turn a blind eye to, so I did. I had more than a couple of potential tenants speak to me in a suggestive manner, and I was encouraged to use that to get them to sign a lease. The maintenance/housekeeping staff, while perfectly nice to me, were unprofessional in how they discussed the tenants' apartments/lives. In other words, they told all and liked gossip. A LOT. Worst of all, the front office was broken into, and as someone who worked weekends alone this terrified me...especially considering we all knew who did it but nothing was ever done. 'The office doesn't accept cash, so there wasn't anything to steal, really,' I was told.
My personal opinion is that it's very, very average. It looks average--no real landscaping, mostly just a giant parking lot. It's isn't exactly a convenient location, but you could do worse. They allow pets and the fee isn't bad, and the overturn job done by maintenance and housekeeping between tenants is pretty good. You can get various types of leases (1 year, 6 months, 3 months, month to month). However. There are no washer/dryer hookups. Laundry and trash facilities are pretty inconveniently located. There is no overhead lighting (when people overlook this and later complain, they are told to "Buy a lamp." I'm not saying it's anyone's fault but their own that they didn't discover it before move-in day, but come on). Ultimately, I was glad to leave but I wouldn't tell someone not to live there. But when it comes time to move, you better not even be missing a lightbulb, because they will charge you out the wazoo. I was told to look at every single inch of the apartments and try and find anything wrong.
