Not a very good place to live

I am a current resident, and I have been unhappy with the place since we moved in. The office staff is a major problem -- they are completely incompetent. From the very beginning of the lease, I have had problems getting them to respond to maintenance requests; I waited two weeks to get my washer connection fixed, and 6-7 for them to repair the exterior lights, which left our building's common area pitch black at night. Additionally, the complex allows large dogs like pit bulls and Chows, which are banned in other complexes, and are definitely a problem. They do not have a courtesy officer, and there has been at least one robbery in the parking lot. A couple of weeks ago, the office provided access to my apartment to someone who was not on the lease, and did not either a) ask for proof of identity, or b) call me first. They also do not provide notice of routine maintenance work, and on more than one occasion the maintenance guy has tried to let himself into my apartment which I was at home. The area is not particularly nice, the staff have no clear idea about who is living in the apartments, and the apartments' interiors are dingy and cheaply outfitted. I would not recommend living here.

I lived there a couple of years ago and I know that those types of dogs are banned.I moved because I wanted to have my dog there and they gave me a banned dog list. I have a great dane, which is not an aggressive dog, and that is also on the list of banned dogs. You should report these people to the office.

I live there too. and even though im not totally pleased with it either, i do wanna correct some things. i am a large dog owner and there are very few apartments that allow large dogs so you should have looked into that if you didnt want to be around dogs. and they in fact to do not allow aggressive breeds such as pits and chows. there have been break ins even though it is a nice neigberhood.
