Happy my lease is up.... old buildings make for high utilities

My lease will be up soon and I may be broke by the time I leave. There is very poor insulation in the units so my heating bill just keeps going up. Sad thing is that it is still cold because of the drafts coming through the doors, windows, plugs and from under the sinks and around the bathtub. There is water coming up from the foundation and sewage smell in the bathroom once you have had the water running a couple minutes.
The staff is usually nice and willing to try to help, but the buildings just need to be updated. For what you will pay in rent here, I am sure you can find somewhere that is more up to date. I find there is a lot of noise that comes through the walls. I am pretty sure there is NO insulation in the buildings. That would explain a lot.
