Avoid this Dump

I originally gave this place a glowing review -- but I've had enough of this dump! It used to be great, but now it's garbage. So here goes:
Pros:
1. Nice staff
2. Ample parking -- though a few times out of the year it gets packed and some of the spots are too narrow for anything wider than a clown car. Right now you can park anywhere since everyone is moving out!
3. It's quiet -- the only noise we hear is people walking up and down the steps, which isn't a big deal since we only hear that when we are in the living room. It's probably so quiet because everyone moved out!
Cons:
1. Maintenance is a joke -- it takes weeks to respond to things and nothing ever gets fixed. It used to be great back when Herb was going around and fixing things, but not anymore. Like others have noted -- the A/C units are old and constantly leak. Be prepared for your ceiling to grow mold and collapse because it will take the office 3-4 weeks to do anything about it and even then the unit will only work for about 2 weeks before it starts leaking again.
2. The pool isn't all that great. They opened it late this year (after K-12 schools let out -- end of May) and then closed it when school started up again (early August). So it's 90 degrees outside and yet they decide to close the pool. They also never kept it clean -- I constantly saw residents having to skim the pool just so they could swim in a pool that didn't have all kinds of trash in it.
3. Although we don't pay much, they are now charging people an insane amount to live here. It's not worth it -- there are plenty of other properties that are just as cheap and are much better.
4. For whatever reason, our outlets are worn out. We have like 4-5 outlets that we can actually use without the plug falling out of the outlet.
5. In general, the grounds aren't that great (which is a shame since I see the landscaping people here almost daily). First, there's a giant walnut tree that rains nuts down upon parked cars. You can literally hear the damage being done. Second, most of the balconies are in dire need of paint. Third, there's always trash overflowing in the dumpsters. Finally, no one picks up after their dogs even though the office claims that they "fine" people who don't follow those rules.
6. The "workout facility" is a joke -- a couple of old, broken machines in a shack that has no A/C. You're better off running up the block, but I wouldn't suggest running up in the hood.

I am an insurance inspector assigned to inspect the complex next week. Could you please give me some specific apt #'s that you know have serious problems? That way I can inspect those units & report the problems to the appropriate parties Please send info to g.cruse@insightbb.com

Inspect the buildings to the left of the office and by the way some guys roof just caved in today. The leaks and mold is so bad around here that it's ridiculous. The owners are nowhere to be found. They probably have no idea what is even going on.
