I lived there for half a year while attending uk and i can tell you I would not recomend the place. If I had came across this site I would not have rented there. I have read a few of the reviews and comments and the ones that give the place a negative review are right on. Think about it a minute look how many neg reviews with about all the same complaints and every so often there is a glowing review, anyone knows that it's written by the crackers in the office to try and save face. Me and my two roomates lived in the building next to the office and our apartment leaked, had backed up plumbing, the fridge didn't get cold, the cabinets had a 100 coats of paint and were hard to open,the place was noisy we could here the neighbors fighting above us through the flimsy walls, my friend who was visiting had his car broke into, and you have to carry your laundry across the courtyard to the overpriced laudry room. Campus life is better and in a safer area, campus police patrol around the clock,the rooms have laudry facilties, you don't have to fight traffic, the price is about the same and includes all utilities even electric, cloisters does not include electric which is the most expensive utilty bill. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l

I absolutly agree with this post.. At one point there were only 2 units in the 6 rented, and they often don't replace lights that go out in the corridors, leaving you to navigate 3 flights of steep stairs in pitch black. Anyone that writes a positive, must not have truly lived the Cloister life ~ in hell!!

I agree with this post and the above comment I believe the postive glowing reviews on here are bogus it sounds like something the staff would write for an advertisement, and are trying to offset the truthful negative reviews. I lived there for less than a year and now live at Fayette Crossing which is wonderful compared to that place, cloisters is not worth what they charge cause the place is not cared for their specialty is ghetto rigging and the staff is a pain, and for the person raving what a great deal it is cause they include a few utilities, well you can get the same apartment with all utilities including electric at brittney square, augusta arms, liberty heights, parkway apts,fayette crossing, peagus place, to just name a few and their rent is cheaper and includes everything even electric and most are in a better section of town.
