Look through this site and you will find the same complaints about almost every place in Lexington. The TRUTH is that people who are upset will complain, people who are happy usually don't talk about it. If you can find a place that you are happy with then stat there. Name calling is pointless. Moreover, with all computers being able to download Google toolbar, there is no reason to post anything online with misspelled words. When you complain or cheer for a place and can't spell you only make yourself look foolish. There are real concerns. If they were as bad as stated then it would be cause for suing the management for breach of contract. Being rude seldom works if you need something. You can not expect a warm response from staff is you treat them like dirt. While respect is a two way street you can only control yourself. When looking at the apartment guides this is one of the least expensive apartments in Lexington. You knew this coming in. Many, not all, of these complaints are like people who buy a Ford Escort and are upset because it does not have the leather seats and V-8 that their parents let them drive. You get what you pay for. Do you go to Denny's and get upset because it is not the same as the Outback' Of the places that advertise online Kirklevington is the only one in the same price range with the same amenities. I was paying a lot more for a lot less in other parts of Kentucky. If you have lived in Lexington for a while before renting here and are complaining about the neighborhood then you made the choice with eyes wide open. Get used to disappointment because you have shown that you want to blame your own bad choices on others. If you made a bad choice then don't blame it on the staff. MartCD-I understand your point of view. You were moved here without the chance to do your own research. You did not have any idea what to expect. However I must ask if you read the whole sentence that you are referencing? It clearly was directed to people who already lived in Lexington and knew the area. Also had you read the whole post closely you would have noticed that I did state, "There are real concerns. If they were as bad as stated then it would be cause for suing the management for breach of contract." I am just asking that ALL people need to return to a civilized, adult demeanor. The people who call staff names and rant about something that should be handled legally need to grow up. If ANY apartment complex is in breach of their contract then it needs to be addressed legally. The old adage of "stick and stones" applies here. Mean spirited words will not fix the problems you have reported. If we are going to take the time to rant then we should be willing to take the time to see the problem solved or else we have wasted our time. We need to either be willing to work together towards a solution or get out of the way of people trying to work to that end. As for the spelling issue you speak of...I have copied and pasted this message into three different word processors in addition to my online spell-check and found the only misspellings to be company names which are not in the dictionary. Please feel free to show me where my spell-check is wrong with specific examples. As for the word "online", it can be spelled three different ways. Either compound, hyphenated or as two separate words. When you insult a person using a false premise it just does not work that well. Please take the time in the future to read and understand a post before attacking the author. My point was very clear and the area that you chose to take exception to had absolutely nothing to do with your situation. Likewise the severity of your complaints was also covered in my post. I did not put a foot in my mouth nor am I on a high horse. If what you say is true then you may have legal grounds, I don't know. While I do sympathise with your situation, you just need to focus your energy into something that could be constructive. I hear what your saying, but...there are other situations that call for complaints!! As in our situation, we came from Hurricane Katrina, these apts were where we were put, and when I had mold blowing thru my apt, and they stated that it was probable my items from Louisiana causing the problem, give me a break. When I lived there they went thur 4 complete office staff changes, and 3 owners. Do I fit into the comment, you went into this with your eyes wide open ~ absolutely not... how do you know when you are working with FEMA & Urban Govt of Lexington, that they put you in direct contact with Centre Pkwy ~ should they have not explored the area better? How about the fact that they tell you the rent is going to be one price, because it's a "special", yet they charge you a higher price, and tell you, oh that wasn't a special...what the h***! Or how about going without hot water for a week, and knowing that the gas service had been shut off, due to none payment by the complex... So it's nice to go off on your high horse, but you need to check situations, before opening your mouth, to insert your foot.. As for spelling, check yours before sending..

I apologize if you are a real person and not a staff member but just because you give a name and email address means nothing unless, you are willing to give me your social security# and birthdate so I can verify it. As for taking legal action most people's lease would be up and they would be moving before a lawsuit ever made it to court. The whole point of posting on this website is so other people know what to expect before moving there. I personaly know that this place falsely advertises, it is not up to code, the office staff does not carry out their duties, and maintance does not either have the proper knowledge or management does not provide them with the corretct materials to make repairs. And as for working together for a solution you never explained what action you have took against this place, please explain.

Dear Cuntuno, Just because you give a name and email address that proves nothing, this sounds like another post by the crackers in the office. I lived there last winter and, those people lied just about everything the price of the rent, the supposed amenties that were non exsistent, the maintenance was suppose to salt steps and sidewalks and we had to dig our own cars out, the place is a joke and that is the TRUTH. Also you do not see these same complaints about most places in Lexington in fact I have not seen any about snow removal, mold, false advertising to just name a few of these peoples complaints. What these people do , you can not compare to buying a car. When you buy a car you know what you are getting. These people advertise ammenties that they do not provide and if they are on the property you can not use them cause they don't work. And the basics they are suppose to provide like snow removal and they don't do that. That is false advertising! So you are admiting that the Cloisters advertise these amenties but yet they don't have to back it up cause the rent is cheap, that is what you mean by , you get what you pay for. We get ya! The reason us tenants don't bother with sueing is bacause no one wants to bother with being tied up in court for ages, it is quicker just to warn people about this place on here. As for comparing the apartment to a car well you can compare the mangement to used car salesman who will say what ever takes to make a sell that makes them the equivalent of a con artist, and who want to give a con artist respect and a warm reception. and no I don't stop and talk to the tenants of a place before moving in, that is the most retarded statement so far on here. Also no one would be concerned about the staff at the Cloisters except them so you are not fooling anyone , we all subscribe to this feed so posting bogus stories is not helping you any, you post one we are just going to knock it down, so why don't you all just chanel your energy into blowing each other in that office. P.S. Since you have spellcheck why did you not use it, there is numerous grammar and spelling errors. It seems like pompus ass like you would make sure to spellcheck idiot.
