I Do Not Recommend

I wouldn't recommend this complex to anyone looking to rent in this area. I moved in during this past winter. I at first thought the place was going to be a nice place to live. I moved in from Fl. So I did not get a chance to really look at the place first hand, I found it through a online site. They let me set my pet deposit up on a payment plan cause I did not have the full amount up front, which I thought was considerate so we could keep our dog. But after we moved in, the place has a way that starts to get on peoples nerves. The walls are very thin, you hear all noises and coversations, and the doors slamming in the hallways. The hallways are poorly lit, and the stairs are steep and this does make it difficult to carry laudry up and down. The laudry room is far away and the machines are small and overpriced. The first week here we went a day without water, then after that 3 days without electric due to the ice storm cause they have no generator backup and they never even offered to send us to a hotel or even another apartment that had electric on. The front and back steps were never salted I slipped on the backstep and twisted my ankle. The plumbing is shot the garbage disposal backs up and my apartment did not have a dish washer in it I had to insist they bring me one. When I asked for the code to the gym that they advertised online the maintenance guy told me, you don't want to go in there nothing works. So I felt deceived by their advertising, cause if they are going to advertise gyms, dish washers, media centers then they should provide them or cut down on the rent. The school bus stop is about 2 blocks away so I either have to walk my daughter or drive her to it. Just this month I had neighbors across from me and behind me move out cause they were unsatisfied with this place, and the only neighbor I have left is a college student who is looking at other apartments ( cause she is suppose to get a student discount on rent and she has to remind them every month or they don't apply it to her rent she says), so I would say it is a good idea to stop and talk to the tenants of a place before moving in. Cause when you find a place that has affordable rent and it is half empty there is something not right. When my lease is up I will be moving instead of renewing my lease.

As much as I agree with the person's main point (the apartments are terrible), I have to say that you are kind of insane. Who on earth drives their kid 2 blocks to a bus stop? Is walking so effing hard these days? Also, it really isn't the responsibility of the apartment owner to put you up in a hotel. The majority of your concerns could have been solved by spending a day in Lexington and visiting the apartment complexes.

I agree with the post I had most of the same problems when I lived there. And for anonymous you are insane, Walking to the bus stop in fine during the summer, but I also drove my kids to the bus stop in the winter because what kind of parents wants there kids to walk in the freezing rain and also when the side walks freeze over the cloisters don't salt or clear the sidewalks of snow, so that is why most parents drive their kids you retard, know what your talking about before posting. I did visit there before I moved in, I knew how the apartments were crappy but I thought I could tolerate that for 6 months, so I questioned the staff about how they made repairs about how they cleaned the paking lot, steps and sidewalks of snow and all I got was lies from the staff so visiting does not always solve everything.
