I've lived here for over 4 months and I think it is a great place to live. It is much more affordable to other comparable apartments in Lexington... there is no clubhouse, pool, or gym, and that really helps drive rent costs down. I didn't need any of those other amenities so that is why I chose to live here. The location is right off of Tates Creek Rd. with quick access to gas stations, restaurants, and a Kroger. While the neighborhood isn't exactly a gated community, I've had no trouble with the aforementioned government housing on the other side of the fence. I occasionally see the kids walking down the street, but have never seen them on Forest Creek property and therefore am not too worried about having my car or apartment burglarized. The parking lots provide plenty of parking for you and your guests, and are properly lit. The only downfall I can really notice about Forest Creek is the stairwells and apartment doors are not well-maintained. I have to sweep cobwebs away from my door and around the stairwells. This is really the only thing not well-kept. There are several pigeons that like to hang around but some people have placed fake plastic owls on their balcony to keep them away. The gardening/landscaping is pretty standard... by no means an enchanted garden but really who cares about that anyways' Overall, these are large apartments with great balconies and new appliances. You will not find anything this nice in Lexington for such a great price. Believe me, I looked at almost 20 apartment places before choosing this one! I plan to stay here as long as I can.
