Here is a list of everything bad since I moved in 6 months ago:
1. Entire apartment NOT cleaned before I moved in. I found handfuls of nails in the carpet. I spent over 20 hours cleaning this apartment when I moved in. RESOLUTION: To this point they have done nothing.

2. Smoke detector taped to wall and not working. Yes literally taped to the wall. RESOLUTION: Nothing. They said they would fix it but that was 6 months ago.

3. Lock on door to balcony broken. RESOLUTION: Once again they said they would fix this but hey why should they care'

4. Car broken into. RESOLUTION: Once again they don't care and they refuse to fix parking lot lights that are out. Makes me feel really safe.

Overall: DON'T MOVE HERE FOR ANY REASON EVER

Also I see on their add that they have a fitness center. THEY DO NOT HAVE A FITNESS CENTER. They also say they have a laundry facility. They do but only 4 washers work and it is only open 9-5 on the weekdays and even less on the weekend.

If you value your life you will get that smoke detector replaced. I know you stated that you have made management aware of this, now you need to make Code Enforcement (859-258-3270) and the Lexington Fire Department (859-254-1120) aware of this. They are required by law to provide you with a working smoke detector(s). When Code Enforcement gets involved they usually find other violations and cite the hell out of the owners.
