3 Year Old Farm Resident

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2006

I've lived at Old Farm since 2003. Throughout the time that I have lived as a resident there have been issues such as drainage issues and main water lines getting broken.

In regards to the recent water pipe bursting I would like to say that I notified the staff when I noticed water seeping up and within a day they had told me it was being worked on although I had to use the pool house for one day, the water was back on within the time they said it would be fixed.

In regards to the flooded car, we also had our car flooded pretty badly and it was deemed as totaled. However, that is why we pay for insurance.

Recently someone mentioned that the lights went out and they couldn't see their lock to get in or up steps. When our lights went out we notified the apartment staff and they had light fixed I believe on that Monday night after a weekend. For the weekend we had what was called a flashlight by our door.

As for the fitness room, Old Farm had us pay a down payment on the key for $25...would you rather pay $25 a month or more like the gyms in town do'

Those who live in an apartment should know that water breaks happen all the time, especially since there are alot of people living in a complex.

In my time here at Old Farm I have found that the staff is friendly, the maintenance staff has had to come to my apartment twice in three years, once for the refridgerator and once to repair linoleum that had come up due to my pet clawing at it. Twice in 3 years is much better than our other complexes we lived in where we were calling the staff daily, if not weekly.

We've enjoyed our time here at Old Farm and plan on staying for another year at least. At each lease renewal they offer a can of touchup paint, new paint on the outside door, or even carpet cleaning.

As for landscaping, up front is done real nice, and back where we live by the tennis courts at one point was just as good, and I hope that sometime soon it will be back to the way it was before.

Another issue brought up was the pool being opened May 1st. Old Farm has an indoor/outdoor pool and what was not said in the prior rating was that the indoor pool has been open throughout the winter months. Just recently the pool was closed so as to get it prepared for summer use.

Yes, there have been some disappointing things that have happened over the last three years, but to be truthful, I would much rather live here than at our last apartment where nothing was ever fixed.
