This is the best place I have ever lived, and I have had a lot of apartments, some with no heat or a/c, infested with mold, and little to no maintenance service (cough-Kirklevington Hills- cough).

In our 8 months at Old Farm, weve have only had two maintenance issues; both were 100% resolved within 12 hours, including the install of new sink plumbing. Our apartment is very cozy, with beautiful views out of each window- there are trees and grass everywhere, which gives such a homey feel. Some apartments are so generic and impersonal looking that you never feel like you are coming to an actual home. That is not the case here at all, and was a large part of why we decided to move in here.

Being right across the street from Tates Creek Center is convenient for grocery shopping, pharmacy needs, fast food, etc. The place is so well-insulated that my electric bills are very reasonable. In fact, I only run the heat at night or on cloudy days- the sun heats the whole place during the day, and the heat holds well into the evening. Water bills are also very reasonable. The gym and pool are well-maintained and convenient, and the dog park (even though I don't have a dog) is extremely cool. The overall setting is very quiet and peaceful, I rarely hear anything through the walls between the apartments, and my neighbors are very friendly. I've never had any problems with the office staff that have been described by other people; I'm not looking for a new best friend when I move into a new place (ha-ha), just a courteous staff that takes care of any issues I have and accept my rent each month. Since that's what you get here, I am pretty happy!

My only issue is the Dumpsters- they are often overflowing, but I don't really know where they would add more. HOWEVER, I have also seen people putting their garbage on the ground even though the Dumpster is totally empty, which is just human laziness; nothing can be done about that!

Please leave me out of the childish arguing that has been going on here- Im sure people have had problems (you find that anywhere), but I love it here and plan to stay a long time, and want potential residents to know that.
