I have lived here at Old Farm Apartments for going on 4 years. I've lived in several Apts. over the past 40 plus years. Old Farm is above par in everyway. The people in the office are very good at what they do, and are very pollite and helpful. If something needs attending to," as happens from time to time in ALL Apts. no matter how upscale" the maintenence staff takes care of it in a profesional and timely manner. And there is a security officer that lives on premisses. I have read some of the postings from people who have negitive things to say about life here. All I have to say is, you can't make some people happy no matter what you do for them. Maybe they should move back home and let mommy and daddy take care of them. I have become friends with alot of my neighbors here. The only one's I've heard complain are the few "younger" tennets who just moved out of their room at home and are used to mommy doing everything for them. Grow up. This is a great place to live.

I agree...this is definitely written by someone in the front office. As far as the statement, "All I have to say is, you can't make some people happy no matter what you do for them" goes....that's the problem at Old Farm...no matter how many times you call the front office because something is broken and needs fixed, they NEVER fix anything.
My husband and I broke our lease after only 7 months because we couldn't stand it. Now we live at Merrick Place and it is beyond perfect. If we put in a maintenance request, they always respond the same day and fix the problem.

Haha. Youve got to be kidding me. Theres no proper response for this ridiculous post by someone that is obviously employed at oldfarm.

As for the mommy and daddy statement, I find that incredibly rude and ignorant. Just because I'm under thirty doesn't mean my opinion doesn't matter. I haven't lived with "mommy and daddy" in over ten years. Secondly, I've grown up in apartments in Lexington my whole life, and no what a bad apartment is. I have lived in much worse than Old Farm. BUT, my parents also only paid very little for where we lived. So if maintenance was bad, they really couldn't complain because it was so cheap. I have paid much more for my living since leaving my parents and Old Farm is by far the worst complex that I've lived in. This is even comparing it to some crappy campus apartment that I lived in for five years. I don't care what this poster says, the office is not responsive on requests. I can never get a call back, even though I'm told "I'll call you right back" each time I call. I can never get a straight answer on anything, ever. The office is just a complete mess. EXAMPLE: I have never signed the lease. Don't you think a good office would have taken care of that? My roommate did, but she got here before me and I never signed it. No calls, nothing. I think it's funny that the rent bill is in my name, when they lack my signature on the contract! Idiots. And if you think Old Farm is "above par in everyway" then you have seriously lived in some bad places. For the money you can find a much nicer place.
