I wouldn't recommend it

Parking is adequate but lighting is not. They take a long time to replace bulbs that have burnt out in outdoor lights and the parking lot outside of our apartment has often been left with little to no lighting. The wooden stairs to the upstairs apartments are cheap and shaky. When the handrail just all of a sudden disconnected on ours, the staff took weeks to fix it. The floors are uneven and horribly squeaky. Every single noise our neighbors make can be heard, even conversations at average voice levels. The washer and dryer in the unit are small and the dryer takes days to dry a single load. Poor setup contributes to the dryer hose needing to be cleaned out at the very least once a month, and it is not easy to pull the combo washer/dryer out of the nook in the wall. Every single door in the apartment is horribly drafty, even post-renovations. Our front door shakes back and forth quite a bit even when the cheap deadbolt is locked. When you stand next to the front door, you can see through the space that is left between the edge of the door and the frame and feel the cold air coming in during the winter. We had to wait a month before we could move in so that they could paint, clean, and clean the carpets. When we did move in, the walls had not been painted and the carpets smelled like dog pee. The staff is, eh, okay. Our experiences have varied. Some of them have been very rude, some have been more professional and nice, but none of them were ever incredibly helpful. I sometimes got bounced around from person to person before being helped, our information was mixed up a couple times, and concerns were not always taken seriously. Sometimes maintenance was quick and fixed correctly the first time, sometimes maintenance was slow and had to be called back. It was never the maintenance staff that was rude or unfriendly though, they were quite helpful 9 times out of 10 and if there are 15 maintenance calls all within an hour it is understandably going to take them a bit longer to get to all the repairs. A few good things: the renovated kitchens are nice and come with nice sized pantries and the closets and bedrooms are a good size. The living room is a bit small and odd shaped but has a fireplace and a balcony with an outside storage room. They also have a deal with Insight that makes cable and internet more affordable. There is also a good deal of parking space with no assigned parking or towing of guests. If I were ever looking to rent an apartment again, I can definitely say it would not be at Park Hill Apartments.
