I have been here for less than 6months and I daily get to look out from my apt and see trash overflowing from the dumpsters with stray dogs getting into garbage bags that other residents have not been put into the dumpster. I have trouble getting things fixed properly and in a timely manner, however, the maintenance crew consists of 2 guys that just can t work 24/7 and they just can t keep up with everything. I have gotten to the point were I just live with things because I know making a call to the office will in tell having to listen to Karen s sales pitch and how things are suppose to change with new construction yada yada yada. I would rather go to the Dentist than hear Miss Karen talk. I have a physical handicap with a handicap parking permit and there is only one painted reserve handicap space and it s on the other side of the property. The parking around this place is a joke! There are not enough spaces for residents and that doesn t even count all the weekend or week long visitors that are allowed to park anywhere. I pay over $800.00 a month and can t park close to my apartment. Karen always talks down to you and I have caught her in a few lies. The property around each building has soil erosion so bad that you can not walk without falling into holes or sliding down hills with rocks all over the place.(I don t even address this because all I would get out of it would be a headache and a bunch of BS) My balcony floods and so does my garage. The wooden posts that are used on the balcony fall off all the time. I had to buy a box of nails to keep outside so I can keep all the railing in place. The doors in my apt hang out of square and wont line up, in order to shut the doors you have to pull up on the handle and hope the latch will catch. It s so loud inside the walk ways; you can hear every step that anyone makes up and down the stairs especially high heels. I should have investigated this apartment before I signed the lease. That was my fault and trust me when I say that won t happen again. I do have some very nice neighbors though some of them aren t very friendly but that would be that way anywhere. I do not recommend this place. For the money you can very easily find a nicer place with better staff and a fully operational maintenance/grounds crew. Do your homework before you are sucked into Patchen Oaks, don t overlook the 60 day notice that must be given to vacate your apartment at the end of your lease. This, I believe is a sneaky way of keeping you at Patchen Oaks. How hard is it going to be to say 2 months in advance that you are moving and have to wait until the last 30 days in hopes of finding a new place' When every other place in the state requires a 30 day notice you will have to take a leap of faith that you will be able to wait till the last minute and find a place to live.

As far as the moving out notice, it is 60 days at most places. I have lived in a lot of apartment complexes in Lexington and all have required a 60 day notice. If you know when your lease is up, then it shouldnt be an issue giving a timely notice.
