Me, my fiance, and son have been here for six months. Heres the list
1. Both our cars broken into, my cd player stolen
2. They lose my fiances half of rent (money order). I watched her put it in the envelope and seal it
then they say they never got it. Result..... we cough up another 430 bucks
3. No parking
4. As a result of no parking my fiance was forced to park on a yellow line. 80 bucks to get the car out of the tow yard
5. Extremely high rent, we pay 840 including water, very unfair price when you include tow bills, and having to repay rent.
6. Very snobby office staff. I've never lived anywhere that the staff seemed to not give a damn about the tenants.
7. Did I mention that after they lose our money order for rent that they charge us 65 bucks in late fees
8. There are like 100 garages and most of them dont get used. Meaning they'd rather hold out and hopefully have someone rent them rather than tearing them down for more parking space.
9. I and other people I know hate this place and will definitely move when our leases are up.
My advice, do not move here!!!!!!!

man I feel your pain! Just make sure you know how the 60 day notice works. Yes I said it right, not a 30 dy notice but 60. Good Luck!!

I completely agree with this posting as well. The office staff are a bunch of -------. Especially the rude and arrogant Karen, who thinks her ---- does not stink, and prob only makes $30,000 a year.

First off... I have lived at Patchen and had little issues, but most of the problems you are complaining about are you and your fianc??'s problems, not the staff of Patchen Oaks. If they really lost your money order, then you simply take your receipt and cancel it. It is a fairly easy process. Second, NO ONE ever "forced" your wife to park where she did. While there are issues with parking, there is parking of the street or at other areas of the complex... just maybe not close to your apartment. It is HER fault for getting towed, not the complex's. Third, you knew the cost of rent before you moved in... so why complain about it now.
