Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2007

I have lived here for several years and have seen major changes in the last few months. As far as the manager saying there wasn't a maint request on file that is probably true. The previous maintenance men did nothing. I see the new maint guys and manager all the time...they are really working hard to make this place better. issues that had been left before have been taken care of now and anything new that ever happens they take care of the same day! Give them a chance to fix things. The apartment is a great value and rent is very reasonable.
Anywhere you go you can have problems remember this is an apartment!

I have lived at PP since mid-2004 and I have to agree, the maint. staff is a lot better than before. I don't remember their names, but there was a tall thin white guy and a short black guy. Anybody else remember them? Gawd, what a joke they were! They could never do anything right the first, second, or third time. I still get angry just thinking about them...so if you think it is bad now, just be thankful the "Two Stooges" are gone.

I have lived at PP for about 3 years now and I have no clue what you are talking about with the previous maintenance crew. John (the white guy) always fixed things that were wrong with my apartment efficiently, as far as the black guy goes he still works here on call. He does rotating shifts with another apartment complex here in town. The reason it took the pool so long to fix is that it was 30 years old and got shut down by the health department because of problems with the electricity in the lights hidden under the concrete in the pool. How two guys are supposed to fix all that by themselves and run service calls i don't know. the only reason the pool ever got fixed is the new management subbed the pool out to contractors who had a 6 man crew working on it. What they did to john making him work all day on a holiday for 13 hours and paying him strait pay then firing him was wrong. how ever It's been 3 weeks now since my kitchen sink totally went out and it took them 3 weeks to come and fix it. I told them in the office on dec. 6 2007 that the motor on my garbage disposal burnt out and that water was leaking all over my kitchen. And no one came to do anything about it until december 28. So some stoned kid comes out that day and removes the old disposal and puts a new one on but doesn't install it correctly or didn't check the wires coming in from the wall to see if the disposals getting any electricity to it. The best part of this kids half assed effort is he didn't do a thing about the leak. I can't wash my dishes or run the dishwasher without having water all over my kitchen. The thing that upsets me the most about this is I know how to fix all of the problems I'm having with my disposal but i am paying someone else to do it when i pay rent. Also I also have other problems that havent been fixed either.

It sounds like the stoner did not remove the knock out on the disposal.
I'm sure you know it is located in the small side opening on the disposal where the dishwasher discharge hose connects with a hose clamp.
I too worked for Patchen Place and was screwed out of several hundred hours of overtime pay and bonus pay. They call it "Patchin" Place for a reason, they only allow maintenance to "patch" problems.
A band-aid on a gun shot wound will only stop the bleeding for so long.
