Hi all,

I wish someone had posted all the NEGATIVES before I went to English Manor on Feb/2001. I was moving from another state, so I had no other information, besides what I was told by the managers.



I lived there about 1 1/2 years and I am very polite saying that the managers were THE WORST ON EARTH. No repairs could get doen before the request was repeated 2 or 3 times. Most of the people in the office of English Manor had NO CLUE what they were doing, no training, no knowledge about how to use the computers or do ANYTHING. A couple of them were also VERY RUDE treating the tenants.

One night I came back late from work to find that I have a water leak IN THE CENTER OF MY KITCHEN, LEAKING DIRECTLY THROUGH the kitchen light (can you say "electrical shock hazard here"'). I reported that immediately to their "emergency" phone number. It took English Manor 2 DAYS TO SEND SOMEONE TO CHECK THE PROBLEM AND 2 MORE DAYS OF CONSTANT NAGGING TO GET THE REPAIRS DONE.



One Monday afternoon, around 2:00 PM I was walking my dog 2 blocks from English Manor. My dog got scared and I could?t understand why. 10 minutes later 4 police cars arrived to apartment complex. The noises my dog had heard came from A SHOOTING that had just happened righ INSIDE English Manor property.

Not exactly a safe place to live ...

One more thing. Before I moved I was told that the "usual electricity bill is around $20/month, both in Summer and Winter". The lowest bill I ever had was $55/month and the highest was $175/month. I cannot believe not even for one minute that the managers do not know this. I DO BELIEVE THAT THEY KNOWINGLY LIE about this, as they also lie about this being a SAFE PLACE to live. If it is REALLY such a GREAT PLACE, why is that NONE OF THE MANAGERS OR ANY OTHER PEOPLE WORKING AT ENGLISH MANOR OFFICE LIVE THERE '''/

One of the tenants (an old retired lady who has been living there for a couple of years, mentioned to me that some of the apartments have been QUIRE FREQUENTLY used for drug dealing and prostitution (that certainly explains a couple of things I saw myself but couldn't believe ...). If you don't believe me, just go to English Manor parking lot after 8:00 PM any day and you will convince yourself.


After living there for almost 1 1/2 years, I moved out because I got a job in a different state.



I would definetely NOT RECOMMEND this ENGLISH MAJOR DUMP to ANYONE. mgFDbN4-dhkSMZ7zRmVH
