I am going to be 100% honest. I don't live at English Manor, nor will I ever live there because it's not the greatest location. However, the leasing department didn't force a single one of you adults to sign a contract. No matter how persuasive, you made the decision to sign. English Manor is not responsible for the crime that happens in the area no more than you are. Therefore, it's not fair to blame them. Furthermore, it's not fair to blame the management team for any visual blemishes that need to be repaired in common areas. They are given a budget to work with. In this budget, they also have to be able to repair items in your personal living space. Would you rather look at old paint and broken drywall in a hall leading to your apartment door, or would you rather have your broken refrigerator or whatever repaired' If you didn't further investigate the property for yourself, that's your problem. Don't like it - call the OWNER and bypass the manager.

Actually, Management is legally responsible, in general, for preventing crime against its residents. Whoever wrote this is a ------- jackass. Yeah, I signed the lease, but only after being showed a very nice model apartment and being lied to and decieved repeatedly.

Actually...your lease reads that the resident is responsible for crime and crime related activities, per KY state law the neither the property, management or owners are responsible. Read your lease.
