I lived at Pennington Place for over three years. I saw it go from a really great, full apartment complex to one where everyone is leaving. It is completely unsafe to live here. I have had health problems because of the mold in the apartments, a hole in my ceiling for 10 months, and a bathtub that leaks into my neighbor's apartment below me. I lived through the Summer with no air conditioning (at some points it was 90 degrees in my apartment at 3am). Recently they closed the leasing office and I was instructed to leave a message if I needed anything... except that the voice mail box was always full!!! And, when I gave notice that I was moving, they refused to call me back and/or give me a reference. Nothing is being repaired because they are going to tear the entire complex down in the next year. I moved out last month and when I did I still had no heat in my apartment. The hallways are always dark, which is completely unsafe as a single woman. The pool was never opened the entire Summer. The "gated community" is a joke! When people moved out of my building without leaving their keys, they would break into the apartment rather than hire a locksmith (when I finally left there were 8 apartments wide open in my building). Which reminds me that I had to turn in copies of my apartment key 4 times since they kept losing my key (very safe to have those floating around). Okay, enough venting. This apartment complex was wonderful when I moved in, but went downhill fast over the last 12 months. Steer clear!
