Worst thing I have ever been apart of

Okay well As you may guess I have not had a good experience. I moved in summer of 2006. Looked over the apartment and it seemed cool. Tub and sink were a little rough but I was told it would be fixed... Signed the lease and all seemed good. Upon further inspection I found dead roaches in the Cabinets. I freaked out and climbed onto the counter to look above the cabinates and there were 15 roach traps up there. I went to the office and said no way. They told me someone had just moved out and they didn't know. So I they let me pick any apartment they had and I did. So by this time its hot...guess what. NO AC. I was told it was out and would be fixed... and it was.... a week later, I also made 4 or 5 calls about a hole in the celing leaking water. It was never fixed. the 1st time someone put foam apoxy in the hole which just stopped the leak...but it led to a big chunk rotting and falling out. (I have pictures) There were constant problems with the water from "july - jan" (I have the paperwork). Some days you got hot water some days you don't. At one point we had no water for OVER a week. (It was on the news) we were told to go to other empty apartments on the other side of the property to take showers. I have lived in 8 apartment complexes and never had any problems. It has been terrible here. I was called into the apartment office in December 22 or 23rd over some paperwork. I paid rent to "pennington" and was billed gas, water, trash by a company called "one point" Pennington was having everyone sign paperwork to combine it to one bill. I was ask to pay my rent plus 140.00 flat rate fee for utilities plus electric. The program was optional (I have the paperwork). My one point bill averaged 50-60 a month... so for me this was a bad deal. So I showed up to the office and declined the offer. I was told I needed to amend my lease and take the deal because I was getting "radient heating" from water pipes and that I had to take it and pay "my share" I said my share was 50-60 not 140. Things got very heated and I was threatened with eviction...to be sued and to have things put on my credit. I have never been treated like that in my life. I told them to do what they had to do and I declined again. (they never did anything) so that was all from july to december. Time goes by I steer clear of them and in the first week of April I get a letter saying the apartment has "elected" to renovate and I need to move. I called the office and they said move by april 30th. They refused to offer any assistance or help at all....just get out. I got the letter on april 6th and my lease is not up until late July .....after all that I just stopped paying rent....the air never worked sometimes it was 90F at night.....water was on sometimes off sometimes....anyway I just stopped paying rent and lived there for almost 3 more months....without paying rent.....before just packing up and moving. I guess they forgot about me. I just paid my electric and came and went as I pleased....never got a late notice. Not bragging at all.... I was on a budget and did not have the money to move or anywhere else to go. Bottom line is they are terrible people and treated me and many others like i have never seen before.. I have heard they are tearing the entire property down........glad I am out of there.......
