The entire complex appears abandoned. The entrances are blocked by fencing. Weeds are growing up through cracks in the parking lots. Roofing has fallen off some of the buildings. Some doors and windows are boarded up or missing entirely. The facility is in dire need of a wrecking ball.

This complex has been shut down due to lots of code violations and black mold through out all the buildings.

Lexington firefighters worked a fire Monday in an vacant apartment complex, Pennington Place, on Codell Drive. One building sustained substantial damage. No injuries were reported. Speculation is that homeless people sheltering in the building maybe responsible for the fire.

A silly thought: This place would be great for haunted house for parties. There are plenty of spaces where special theme parties could be held. Perhaps one building for whores. Another for crack heads. Drunks would have their place. A building for stoners and so on. The pool could serve as a collection point for dead bodies. These events would go on until all the buildings collapsed on themselves or burned down. What a wonderful way of dealing with part of Lexington's trash problems!
