I needed a quick escape from a bad living situation and moved to the Preakness apartments. Worst mistake of my life. Sewage has backed up into my apartment four times during the year I've lived here. Whenever there is a problem, even a major one, like sewage, it takes hours, sometimes days, for someone to come and correct the problem. Most problems won't even get fixed. The management does everything they can to avoid fixing anything. Nothing is kept up. They also enter your apartment whenever they feel like. No advance notice whatsoever. The walls and ceilings are paper thin making it possible to hear everything your neighbors do, including their drug deals. No joke. I had dealers that lived above me and the management would not evict them, no matter how many times the police were called. It's also in a terrible part of town. I am so ready to be rid of this place. Do not rent here!!!

Management won't evict them because if they did they would have no one else living there... The owners are so desprate they rent to any one...They cant keep good employees because they are so cheap...

How can they keep good employees when they screw them out of overtime pay, as required by law I might add. Contact the Division of Police (258-3600) and report narcotics activity. Management/maintenance can only enter your apt if you have made a service request or in the event of an emergency, and pest control.

I have been here for over a year and am very happy with the response from the maintenance staff, office staff right up to the manager. Everyone is very helpful... Any emergency is addressed in a timely fashion! The buildings and grounds are very well kept up. I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a good/ clean / safe place to live.

I am interested in renting here. Are the conditions as bad as you describe? In your opinion, why shouldn't I rent here? Please let me know. If the conditions really are this bad, I don't want to make a mistake. Please let me know.
